After two grueling and somewhat hellacious weeks of Levels Testing - TopicsExpress

After two grueling and somewhat hellacious weeks of Levels Testing at CrossFit Long Beach, I’m finally done! I’ve pushed my body and mind to their breaking points several times. I’ve come away from a lot of lifts, movements, and workouts victorious, and I’ve walked away from a few a little unsatisfied and more aware of what I need to improve on. I want to show that “failures” are all a part of the game, so I’m posting a clip of the last one rep max lift I attempted this week, a split jerk at 225lbs. Remember, it’s not wasted or a failure if you learn something from it! I’m currently one WOD away from achieving “Advanced” status at our gym and earning an orange band, but I’m so proud of how far I’ve come in the past few months that the band can wait a while… I want to give a huge thank you to all the amazing coaches at CrossFit Long Beach, and all the other athletes and friends I’ve made there that push me on a daily basis. And of course a special thanks goes out to my good friend, coach, and number one training partner Gabriel Alexander Grobben for motivating me more than he even knows. Also, thanks to Chef Kates Nut Butter for keeping me fueled up with their amazing nut butters on a daily basis! In two days I’m leaving for a month long trip around the world, so I’ll be taking some time off from training, but I’m already looking forward to getting back in the gym when I return! Levels Testing 2014… Over and out!
