After what happened to Pri yesterday, Ive been looking into additional ways to protect my gear, in case of theft. Heres a great tip I got: The guy at the pawn shop gave me a great piece of advice - on a small piece of paper write a simple note -- This guitar belongs to ____________. Had I sold it willingly I would have removed this note. There is a reward for the return of this instrument. I either stash that note under the pickguard OR with my basses into the battery compartment. Im not sure it does anything other than make me happy but at least theres a chance Ill see the instrument again.- Ken Holder Thieves are not smart people, they are desperate people.....and will end up slipping up somewhere. Buy insurance, record and photograph all serial numbers, and store it in something other that your computer. Even if your gear never shows up again, youll know you did everything in your power to protect it. Who else has some good info on this subject?
