Afternoon in Worcester tackling daughters scary big shopping list (school shoes, coat school will accept, trainers, other sports kit and odds and ends): success! Not only that, she went to the sweet shop weve been to since forever and now she buys ME sweets. I like that. And swapped shoes when I got a blister. (It will wear off, mother. Yes, I know. Just making sure - you know your memory.) Coming back in the car we were talking about how music can hit us and move us and become part of our landscape, especially when were young. I mentioned this was one of mine. I mustve been around 12-13 when it came out. Id just got my first radio and used to listen under the duvet because Dad wouldnt have rock/pop in the house.
