Again Sint Maarten Pride Foundation would like to know why it is that every island in the Dutch Caribbean, most of the island’s in the wider Caribbean and countries all over the world have land-based protected areas but Sint Maarten has none? Do our politicians not understand that the well-being of our tourism based economy relies heavily on the proper management of our natural resources?? Do they not understand that our natural resources play an important role in our overall quality of life? Or is it that they just do not care?
