Agh, I gotta gush a bit. Just spent the last month+ in a surreal blur, working bonkers hours at perhaps the most fun and most physically demanding performing gig Ive ever had. As a former coward, it wouldnt have even occurred to me to audition at a haunt--if not for two chance meetings with two separate strangers/Terror Behind The Walls veterans who suggested I do so for the last two seasons in a row. (Lucky that Kent dropped his wallet on the sidewalk for me to find!) I didnt feel physically strong enough last year, what with my ever-fluctuating level of neuro-muscular-skeletal wonkiness, but I tried out this year and I cant believe I just completed a full season. Snarled and/or smiled (depending on the role) in the faces of thousands while on stage... after having been afraid to leave my bedroom not too long ago. Bodies are amazing, limitations can extend--sorry if this post is insufferably self-indulgent to some of ya, but the rest of ya oughta ask me to hang now that Im not locked in a haunted prison. Props to all the talented monsters I met on the inside as well!
