Ah Nottingham. I once came offstage after playing a Luxxury show there and a cute girl greeted me at the foot of the stage and said: That. Was. Appalling. I assumed she was kidding and that the flip side of her irony would soon emerge. No. She was dead serious. Also the opening band were all on acid, had no drum kit and were crying because my drummer Erik Cruze, rather reasonably, wanted some assurance they wouldnt destroy his snare (which they proceeded to do anyway). Last but not least, I asked the promoter to film our performance with my camera. When I went to watch the footage later, I discovered he had simply filmed his wiener instead.
