Ah! Now that I have been nominated twice to share my top 10 books (first by Udayan Dhar) now by Manoj Pavitran .. well 10 is not enough but lets see what comes in this moment... here goes: 1. The Tao of Leadership- John Heider I must have gifted a copy of this book to dozens of people! It inspired the title of my program Tao of Facilitation and the more recent ones.. Tao of Coming home and of the deep masculine. A must read for anyone who wants to discover and embrace the mystery of the Tao in the world of facilitation. Other renditions of the Tao which are beautiful are tao of healing(haven trevino) and tao te ching (stephen mitchell) 2. The Prophet- Kahlil Gibran What awesome poetry of life, love -takes me always to a place beyond it all. 3. A thousand names of joy- Byron Katie Such a masterpiece of living the Tao in simple everyday daily ways.. being one with life.. and all that is. Katie is incredible. 4. End of your world- Adyashanti In my search for truth, Ananta pointed this one out. And Adyas pointing is so direct and piercing. Deeply authentic. Awareness of Anthony De Mello is kind of same genre. 5. Freedom from the Known- J. Krishnamurti JK speaks from a place few people I know who are awake speak from. His Book of Life - I have got recently. Each page is a meditation. 6. Corporate Mystic- Gay Hendricks & Kate Ludeman This book when I read it way back in 1999 took me to the US to learn from Gay. Each of his books are awesome. 10 sec miracle and the big leap and at the speed of life come to mind also! Now he writes fiction. Yet to read. 7. Gene Keys- Richard Rudd is a recent find thanks to Biren Shah. But its truly fascinating. If JK says truth is a pathless land, Richard shows 64 paths to enlightenment ! ;-) Prior to this Astrology for the Soul - Jan Spiller 8. I am That- Nisargdatta Maharaj Havent read it end to end but Maharaj is truly amazing. 9. The Sufi Book of Life- Neil Douglas-Klotz Akash Dharamraj, a wonderful Sufi teacher brought this to me. 10. Journey to Ixtlan- Carlos Castaneda Thanks to Rhea for this one. Read it recently. Somehow not feeling that this list does justice. But its ok for now! Been wanting to read Thus Spake Zarathustra and Thy brothers Karmazov for long! Oshos Books I have loved is a great compilation also. By mentioning close to 20 books I think, I may have cheated. But thats how it is! So I nominate.. Dola Dasgupta, Raj Mali, Sangeeta Bhagwat, Biren Shah, Sukhvinder Sircar, Rhea Dsouza, Abhishek Thakore, Anuradha Ramesh, Adebayo C. Akomolafe, Anil Paranjpe.
