Ah yes, the pitfalls of celebrities. Ill be talking about this in my TSOL Sermons in July. We have all felt this way at times, wanting to extract revenge, probably wishing we had a massive social media following to destroy reputations. I got an extremely nasty email this week from a retired broadcaster who was really rude and nasty about what she thought was a One Plus One program. I sat on it for a day, and then with advice from my husband, replied, taking the anger and need for revenge out. It wasnt even my program, for goodness sake! It felt much better to respond in a calm and considered way. I re-directed her to abc.net.au/oneplusone where she could see the ACTUAL One Plus One :-) If you get angry and want to tweet something nasty or vindictive, why dont you tweet by emailing it back to yourself? You might feel better for it after the initial anger has died down.
