Ahh the day is almost done...had breakfast this morning with Katherine Day Turner and her dad...yummy scrambled eggs, coffee while catching up. Too bad it had to be a short visit since I had to get home to deal with barn chores that are made more time consuming due to the damn cold :( but so glad I made the time to stop in. At least the sun was strong and gave the illusion of warmth. Down-side I broke a tine out of our favorite manure fork and the one I bought as a backup just does not measure up. Guess I will have to find a replacement head ASAP. Bus story...loaded up the little kids and as I was pulling out I heard a girl crying. She was in the front seat. When I asked what was wrong she said she missed her fish. Of course, I wasnt sure I heard correctly at first. Apparently her fish passed away recently and she was sad thinking about it. So I tried to relate (I mean it WAS a fish and I just dont get the reptile, amphibian, fish as a pet/love thing) and talked with her about him and how it will hurt for a while but if she thinks about what made her love him it will be easier to remember him without tears. I do love driving a bus, never a dull moment.
