Air 1 was instrumental in four overnight arrests. The Air 1 flight crew had a busy shift last night. The EPS helicopter assisted in four incidents that resulted in the arrest of several suspects. Air 1 was dispatched to a robbery at a convenience store at 172 Street and 95 Avenue. Upon arrival the helicopter located two suspects in the area and directed patrol officers on the ground, who made the arrest. A male was also arrested with the assistance of Air 1, in the area of 100 Avenue and 103 Street, after an indecent act. Air 1 directed patrol units to the suspect who was taken into custody shortly after. The helicopter conducted surveillance on a stolen motorhome located at a motel in the city’s north side that led to the arrest of the driver without incident. Air 1 and a Canine Team also conducted surveillance of a stolen truck that had been involved in a robbery and aggravated assault. The flight crew located the vehicle in the area of 130 Avenue and 83 Street, and spotted the driver fleeing from the vehicle. Air 1 directed patrol officers on the ground to the driver and three other suspects, who were all arrested without incident.
