Airline passengers have already been stripped of their legroom, hot meals, and personal space. Now, they might also lose their silence. The only way I would be in favor of making cell phone calls on airplanes is if the FCC mandated that all those who want to use their cell phones must sit next to families with screaming children. The airlines are going to have First Class, Coach, and No Class sections. Cell-phone users must sit in the no class section. Bathrooms on the plane? Are they going to become the telephone booths for those who want to talk on the phone in private?
