Aisha (radi Allahu anha) narrated: “The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) used to mend his own shoes, sew his own clothes and work in his own house just as one of you would work. He acted like a common man – he patched his own clothes, milked his own goats, and engaged himself in routine work.” [Tirmidhi] Prophet Muhammad (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) is the most influential man to have ever lived. His legacy is the greatest and, by the grace of Allah Almighty, his code of conduct in private and public, in matters of family and state, are preserved for humankind to learn from till the world comes to an end. So judge the suitability of your leader by the example left by him (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam). The Sahabah and the rightly guided Khulafa followed in his footsteps. Only the people who will be successful in both worlds follow the example of Muhammad (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) in all matters.
