Ajax Cape Town winger Khama Billiat tells KickOff he is not stressed about all the transfer speculation that has been surrounding him. The Urban Warriors yesterday announced that they pulled the plug on the player’s proposed move to Mamelodi Sundowns and, with 14 days to go before the transfer window closes, it remains to be seen where he ends up. Orlando Pirates and Sundowns are reportedly still chasing the player, while Belgium side Club Brugge have also made an offer. “I’m not going to talk about whether I’m staying at Ajax Cape Town or leaving because my manager [Edzai Kasinayo] is handling the issue,” Billiat tells KickOff. “I know there has been much talk about my future, but I can tell you now that I’m not stressed about the situation. Obviously this is something new to me because I have never gone through this before, but I’m positive because all I want is what’s best for my career. I’m sure something positive will happen at the end.” Billiat is currently not registered with Ajax, but he insists this has not dampened his spirit. “I have to do something that will keep my mind pre-occupied like jogging on my own because I don’t want to sit and do nothing.”
