Alan D., the Kock brothers spent over $400 million in 2012—and they’ve pledged to spend over $300 million this year. Sign the petition to urge Congress to give us Kock-free elections by passing meaningful campaign finance reform. The Supreme Court opened the floodgates to virtually unlimited money in politics with Citizens United and McCutcheon. On September 8, the Senate will vote on a constitutional amendment to overturn those rulings and make sure they never happen again. Nearly 300,000 members of the Daily Kos community signed a petition in support of that amendment, but we need to remember that passing any constitutional amendment requires a long-term campaign. The Koch brothers are trying to buy elections for their Republican stooges right now. Until we can get money out of politics once and for all, we need Congress to step up and push back. Sign the petition now: Congress must take action to give us Koch-free elections. Keep fighting, Chris Bowers, Daily Kos
