Aldridge & Friends lead Blazers to 3-1 series lead From Elias: The Trail Blazers outlasted the Rockets, 123-120, in overtime on Sunday night, as four Portland players finished with 20-plus points: Wesley Matthews scored 21 points; Damian Lillard, 23; Nicolas Batum, 25; and LaMarcus Aldridge, 29. It was the first NBA playoff game this year, and only the fourth over the last seven years, in which four teammates each scored a score of points. Aldridge has now poured in 141 points over the first four games of this first-round series, the most points that any NBA player has scored over his first four playoff games in any of the last 11 years, since Tracy McGrady scored 145 points in Orlandos first four playoff games back in 2003. Now consider that Aldridge has also collected 46 rebounds against Dwight Howard and the Rockets; no NBA player has produced both as many points and as many rebounds as has Aldridge over the first four games of a playoff year since Hakeem Olajuwon had 150 points and 67 rebounds in his first four games in the 1988 playoffs. Actually, those were Olajuwons only four games in those playoffs; even with that kind of production, the Dreams Rockets team was dispatched by the Mavericks in the first round, three games to one.
