Alexis had a fairly rough afternoon. We were outside and a butterfly kept circling us and landing on us for about 10 minutes. I have never seen anything like it. I told Alexis that Abby had sent it from heaven as a way of telling her Happy Birthday. She liked that, but it really got her thinking about how much she misses Abby and that she wished Abby was here for her birthday. As we were making pizza for dinner, she said that it made her sad that Abby couldnt help her with the cheese and pepperoni like she always does. It was our first time making pizza since November and it was too soon. She cheered up some this evening with a few presents and phone calls. Tomorrow will be another challenge as Alexis has her yearly checkup and Abby wont be here to hold her hand through it all. She was always so good about calming her down and telling her that it will all be ok.
