Alhamdulil-laah all praise is for Allaah and was-Salaatu was-Salaamu calaa man laa nabiyyah bacdah. He (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) said, The religion comprises sincerity of purpose and we (the Companions) said, To whom? and he said, To Allaah, His Book, His Messenger, the leaders of the Muslims and the common folk (Reported by Muslim, no. 55). This is a apology from myself and speaking on behalf of the brothers to our sisters in islam. May Allâh have mercy on all of you and grant you the highest levels of Jannah. Aameen. Wallaahi we love you all for the sake of Allaah . Whoever seeks forgiveness for the believing men and believing women, Allah writes a good deed for him for every believing man and woman.’ (Collected by At Tabarani declared Hassan by Al Albani) First of all, myself and the brothers sole intention was to bring light to some of the issues surrounding our local Masajids and organizations in the city of Toronto and encourage clarification and betterment in accordance to the Qur’an and Sunnah with the understanding of the salaf. Understand that we are human and in no way clear from mistakes. If we had done something, or said something to offend the sisters or if it seemed it like we were coming from a bad place, we sincerely ask you for your forgiveness since that was not our intention. I understand the hard work you sisters sincerely worked to spread the Deen and help the youth, especially since I was not too long ago in your very place. If I any way made you feel like I devalued your work for Allah’s SWT sake I apologize, that was not my intent. Islam is the religion for all of mankind, and Allah SWT has commanded us to convey it to all people. This can only be achieved if we are strong, and strength is based on faith and unity. At the end of the day, our goal is to perpetuate the Dawah accordingly to the correct understanding of the salaf. And I can confidently state that the sisters agree. I know as long as the sisters are following the Qur’an and Sunnah with the Understanding of the pious predecessors that their goals and my goals are one of the same. I sincerely believe that in the right circumstances with the right intentions, repairing the gap between the brothers and sisters are possible. And I stand forth supporting it. And the He say she say is only causing more problems and a bigger gap. What is better is opening up a dialogue and room for solution. What is even more pleasing to Allah is that we forgive each other for His sake and respect one another with real sincerity. These sisters are not strangers to me, I have worked with them side by side in numerous events, and grew up with some. I humbly respect them… & reject any negativity said about them. With that being said, Lets enjoin in good and forbid the evil. Lets head into Ramadan with clean intentions, and a thirst for change. May Allaah make us amongst those who benefit from this month and accept our Siyaam, Qiyaam, Taubag and Sadaqah. Allaahumma Aameen. I ask Allah subhannu wa ta’ala to guide us all and protect us from the real punishment to come ahead. I also ask that He shades us all under His shade and restores our relationship with respect and understanding. I leave with this ayah in mind: “And obey Allaah and His Messenger, and do not dispute (with one another) lest you lose courage and your strength departs, and be patient. Surely, Allaah is with those who are As-Saabiroon (the patient)” [al-Anfaal 8:46] Reminder to myself foremost.
