Alhamdulillah Friday has come and gone and my wedding, by Allahs grace took place against the wish of those that thought theirs is the law and must be obeyed. First the Governor of Katsina state in his characteristic childish and mean attitude was vehemently against the marriage and sought for its cancellation just three days to the fatiha for reasons best known to him. You may think that the bride is his daughter! God forbid! Since it was not his daughter I was marrying nor any relation of his, he could not succeed. The best he could do was to threaten doomsday should the marriage ever take place anywhere in Katsina state! If it were for me I could have told him to go to hell but since i was the one receiving not giving i had to meekly watch and follow what my in laws wanted. It was taken outside Katsina to Kaduna and by Allahs grace it held. When he could not succeed in that egoistic mission, he unleashed his brute, one Shehu Mohammed Koko DSP, the current ÀDC to the Governor to tear gass innocent women and children at a pré marriage dinner I organised for my would be bride, family and friends inside Katsina Motel. The scène was so pathetic. So many people fainted, so many were asphyxiated while so many sustained various degrees of injuries. An infant child of my junior sister nearly lost his life and had to be put on life support! Many were admitted in hospitals and our properties vandalised in the ensuing chaos. That was what we could get from à Chief Security Officer of my State all because i was getting married! I want to, therefore, use this médium to thank my in laws who stood firm in the face of intimidation without whose courage the marriage would have never held. I assuré you all that you will never regret this decision inshaa Allahu. I want to thank my family who stood by me and were with me from the beginning to the end and who for the first time because of me know how tear gass smells! I want to thank my political associates who through the contributions made this marriage cheap that my priceless wife was almost at no cost to me! I equally want to thank those countless people who shared with me the joy and pain of that moment both physically by their présence and spiritually through their prayers. I know most of what i am today is thanks to you and i am grateful. I want to equally commiserate with those hundred of people that were the victims of this callous inhumanity of Shema and his ADC. I want to assure them Allah will not allow this to go un punished. Eventhough I know we have taken our case to Allah for recompense I have on my part taken steps to seek justice for myself and my people both from the Police authority and the judiciary. Inshaa Allah Koko and his ilk will pay for what they have done and by Allah I will commit everything I have to see that they pay for what they did! As for their principal, his time is up and inshaa Allah he will pay for every atrocity he meted against me and my people soon when the garb of immunity he enjoys will be lifted off him! Allah ya saka mamu!
