Alhamdulillah, for the 8th year running SimplyIslam will be organising the Qurban project in Indonesia to support Pesantren Darul Hikmah (Islamic Boarding School) in Mojokerto (near Surabaya, Indonesia). The funds raised will be utilised for the maintenance of over 1200 students pursuing both academic and Islamic studies at the school, including some pursuing the Quran Hafiz program. Most of the students come from poor and needy families. The meat will be distributed to the students and residents around the school. Just a reminder: the Qurban during `Eid Al-Adha is regarded as Wajib according to Imam Abu Hanifah and as Sunnah Muakkadah according to the other Grand Imams.
