Ali shares her sons inspirational story: My son is 13 and for the past 17 months has been unable to walk, using a wheelchair and crutches to get around. His positive attitude shines through and he finds himself new challenges. Instead of worrying about the things he cant do, he concentrates in what he can do and one of those things is swimming. He is taking part in a swim challenge in the Lake District this summer, 3 open water swims in 3 different lakes. He trains 4-5 nights a week, swimming a mile per night at our local pool. His goals are personal achievement, to raise awareness of EDS/HMS and to raise sponsorship for his school to buy a set of sports wheelchairs so he and others can take part in a full and active sporting life within school.
