All Done and Dusted... As the 56th annual Head of the Yarra - TopicsExpress

All Done and Dusted... As the 56th annual Head of the Yarra came to a close today, many crews had a little bit of time to have some fun on their row back to the city. Today was a great success with many close calls, tight bends and near crashes but to finish off the day with a high all MUBC mens eights won their categories, and the women eights did extremely well too. The day was an extremely mind blowing turn out with Nearly 2000 competitors from all states of Australia (even the Sunshine Coast had a crew) and even a few crews from New Zealand. This all added up to about 220 competing eights with an estimated 10000 spectators and supporters, in which follow the races over the 8.6 km Yarra river from the city through to the Hawthorn Rowing Club. Congratulations to everyone that competed today and I hope people didnt get as sunburnt as I did. Tyron (the tomato).
