All I could do was shake my head. The driver of the car ahead of me had rolled down her window and tossed something out -- it looked like a balled-up straw wrapper. But then I noticed the car was pulling into the same grocery store parking lot that I was headed for, so I followed it and parked nearby. As the driver got out and began walking into the store, I caught up to her and said, Excuse me, maam, I dont want to alarm you, but I think something fell off of your car window as you pulled in. WHAT?! she cried out, horrified. Then she hurried back to her car to see what was wrong. Later, as I stood in line at the deli counter, she passed me by looking hot and sweaty. She gave me a long, hard look. I just smiled pleasantly.
