All Prayer Partners FMPB Dearly beloved, Greetings to you in the holy name of our Lord! Nowadays there is a systematic plan to demoralize Christian believers and to cripple the activities of our missionaries throughout Madhya Pradesh. We request you to kindly pray intensively for our missionaries who are under persecution and much trouble. The Lord of heaven should do a miracle and release them from the prison, as He did for Peter. Kindly mobilize more prayers in all possible ways for the outcome of the below given incidents. A brief report on the persecution and arrest of our missionaries in M. P. in December, 2014 1. Occurrence on 24th December in Khargone field, M.P Our missionaries Bro, D. Wilson and his wife, Mrs. Rashmita Wilson are serving the Lord in Khargone mission field, Madhya Pradesh. They have two small children namely, Fonseca and Johnty. They planned a Christmas programme on 23rd evening, but couldnt carry out the programme because the police did not grant permission. However, they visited a village, namely, Nayanagar on 24th December on the invitation of our believers. Nayanagar is about 28 kilometers from Khargone. After reaching Nayanagar, they found around 70 believers had gathered in a house for a fellowship meeting. Unexpectedly four persons belonging to anti-Christian elements also reached there. On their instigation, police also arrived and took them to Gogawa police station, which is 9 kms away from Nayanagar. By that time a big mob was found in front of the police station demanding the arrest of our missionaries. They also prepared two false witnesses who confessed that each of them were promised Rs.5000/- by our missionaries for converting to Christianity. The Superintendent of Police also came and interrogated our missionaries. In the meantime our missionaries contacted many local leaders for help. On the direction of the S.P., the Inspector of police assured that no case world be filed against them, but they would be warned and sent back. All these things were well planned and there was a good coverage of media and it was even telecasted. However, soon after the S.P. left Gogawa police station, the Inspector of Police filed a FIR against our missionaries under sections 295 & 506 of IPC and section 3 of Anti Conversion Law of M.P. Our missionaries were denied any right when they wanted to file a FIR against the culprits. Since the children of our missionaries were crying uncontrollably and started vomiting, the police showed some lenience and asked them to go home with a condition that they should appear before the Judicial Magistrate at Bhikangaon on 30th December for want of any bail etc. In case bail is denied they will be put behind the bars. 2. Occurrence on 26th December in Dhulkot mission field, M.P. Bro. Karunakar Garda and his wife, Gitanjali are working as our missionaries in Dhulkot mission field in Madhya Pradesh. A team of sponsors visited our missionaries in Dhulkot mission field and planned to celebrate Christmas along with the new believers of a village namely Coloni. They hired a Jeep by 11 a.m. from Dhulkot village and reached Coloni village by 12 noon. After tea, they went to the meeting place. Our missionary along with our local believers were leading the worship. Three youth who claimed that they work with Naya Duniya Press, were taking photos. Then the programme was put an end. While the youths were being enquired, five more joined the youth. Bro. Karunakar talked to the village headman. He asked the missionaries to stop the meeting and asked them to have food first. He also said that the meeting can restart when he himself joins the meeting. As the food was getting ready, our missionaries and the sponsors thought of visiting the nearby dam before having lunch. While they were heading towards the dam, a mob was following behind them and started throwing stones at them. They ran and hid themselves in a house. The mob surrounded the house shouting, Come out, otherwise we will kill you. They replied them, we will not come out unless the police comes. The mob started breaking the house. By then the police arrived there. Then they were taken to Borgaon police station. Police got the written statement from them. While they were at the police station, it seemed that a call came from DSP to release them as it was Christmas season. But the police did not release them. Around 8 pm, the local police filed a case against them. Then the police said that the ladies and children can go home. But the ladies refused to go home alone as the way was not safe for their travel during the night time. So, all men, ladies and children were kept in a room which was about 50 meters away from the police station. They were told that the police would call them the next day by 9am. But the police did not call them on 27th by 9 am. Instead they called our people after 10 am. Then after checking their belongings and IDs, they have been sent to the district jail at Khandwa.
