All is silent in my home.... which is a good sign that everyone loved their presents and were up all night playing with them. I have to say that my best present was a phone call I received to invite me to be part of Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project as the new COMMUNITY EDUCATION MANAGER FOR DETAINED YOUTH PROJECT!! I will be working with a legal team to legally empower minors detained by ICE, providing Popular Ed KYR workshops, coordinating legal intakes and hopefully partnering unaccompanied minors with some badass lawyers!!!! You all know that this is my passion and my heart, spirit had been yearning to work with this population and in this capacity. I start in January! I thank you all for keeping me in your prayers and all your support and kindly ask that you continue doing so, that I pass my background checks with a breeze so that I can begin ASAP!! I love you all!! (Typing this long ass post with my new detached bluetooth keyboard for my ipad that my baby Cesar got me!!!)
