All jokes aside, I encountered an interesting problem when installing #WhineDohs 8 the other day that I thought might be best shared here. Im looking for a resolution (should there be one), so any help would be greatly appreciated. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ gear used: ZOTAC ZBOX ( amzn.to/1ymr6S8 ) HDD used: 120GB OCZ Technology SSD (980Mbps R/W) RAM: 8GB DDR3-1333Mhz Crucial Memory ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I tried MULTIPLE times to install Windows 7 (Professional, Ultimate) but kept receiving error messages (0x8007003, plus a few others I cant remember right off the top of my head) using the (brand new; direct-from-the-store) SSD. Tried Windows 8-----same problem. At this point it was close to 1:30 a.m., Id been awake since 7:30 that morning, and so naturally, I just wanted to be done with this :poop: ----- swapping the SSD for a tradition 1TB 5,400rpm 2.5 laptop drive the installer kicked off without a hitch. In short, Id like someone to explain to meh how you go about installing #WhineDohs on a SSD.....cuz apparently Im too #noob to figure it out my damn self. The INSTALLER (if you click have disk,) is looking for a .INF file from which to configure your HDD ;; Yes, there is a disc that came with the hdd, but no INF file(s) are to be found ----- only .exes & other .MSI extensions designed to be launched from the DESKTOP, not from the installer. o.O
