All of the preop things completed today, met with his surgeon, Dr. Jaggers, history and exam done by the NP, tours of the cardiac ICU and progressive unit, and met with an anesthesiologist. It was all a bit overwhelming. The hardest part was going through all of the possible risks of the surgery. All we can do is trust in God! So glad Seth is here to keep me from getting lost inside. Surgeon says surgery will be about 3.5 hours, then we have to wait an hour before we can see him. He went through all of the things he would repair in surgery as well as things he will have to decide on once in surgery. Praying that whatever he has to do will mean only one surgery. We have to be there at 6 am. Surgery is at 7:30. He can have his tube feed from 9-12 tonight. Then he can have 3 oz of pedialyte from 3-4 in the morning. So I dont anticipate much sleep tonight. So naptime it is for me now!
