All of us---of a certain age--have our memories of the late President John F. Kennedy. When I was a little girl, I went to Stella Maris Academy in La Jolla California--a good Catholic school. One day my dad, took me out of school early and we went to the San Diego Airport to welcome Senator John Kennedy--he was on the campaign trail( the nuns gave their complete blessing and blessed him). I remember exactly what i wore, and that my dad gave me a Time Magazine (the the Senators picture on it- Sen. JFK autographed for me). And...I remember going up to his convertible and shaking his hand probably four times--maybe 5 x. He was so warm--had the biggest smile and he had a very comfortable handshake. The crowd loved him. He did have a special aura--and when he died, like so many I cried for days.
