All the heroes of faith in Hebrews 11 had this in common… They stepped out in great faith when the natural circumstances of their lives seemed hopeless! There are times in our lives when we need an extra measure of faith to get us from one season to the next. It happened to *Abraham when God asked him to sacrifice his son, Isaac. *Job when he lost everything including his health. *Noah when he was asked to build the Ark. *Joseph when he was thrown in prison. *Moses when he led the children of Israel across the Red Sea. *Joshua when He was told to encircle Jericho for seven days. *Elijah when he challenged the prophets of Baal. *Daniel when he was put in the den with the lions. *Stephen when he was being stoned to death. *Paul during his many hardships and imprisonment. *And it happens to us at various times in our lives. Status-Quo is when we willingly accept the ordinary because we are unwilling to reach for the extraordinary. Status-Quo will keep you living in fear. What is it that keeps us from diving into the future? Here are two things that hinder our faith for the future. OUR PERSONAL COMFORT LEVEL… Our unconscious tendency to be drawn irresistibly toward doing what you’ve always done. OUR NATURAL TENDENCY TO FALL IN LOVE WITH YOUR OWN IDEAS and defend them against anything new! At the core is unfounded fear is a lack of faith in God... A lack of trust in His provision... Ignorance of His presence... Oversight of His unconditional love. Fear will paralyze your faith and keep you from taking the leap. Remember this, God never changes. He is always faithful even when you don’t see it right away. If you TRULY believed GOD...IF you had REAL FAITH...If you were as CONFIDENT in who HE is as you are in WHO you are... IF you really trusted HIM for your Destiny...YOU would not NEED that BACKUP PLAN youre holding on to right now! Take the leap and go for broke! He wont fail you, He never has and He never will... Happy Tuesday Everyone.
