Over 99% of all subtyped influenza A viruses being reported to CDC were 2009 influenza A (H1N1) viruses. Twenty-five states reported geographically widespread influenza activity, 17 states reported regional influenza activity, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and six states reported local influenza activity, and Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands and two states reported sporadic influenza activity. comment: Of course there may be many more cases, but even with this report Flu is now widespread in 50% of the United States. Flu season is here and spreading. Currently the Flu Map from CDC has not been updated to show 50% of the U.S. has widespread Flu.
