All this ridiculous business of the District trying to get the message out that they didnt repurpose the bond, and that no bond money was spent on the admin building makes me want to go up to any and all state legislators and ask what they think of Everett being awarded state construction assistance funds for the purpose of the state helping the district build a school or other eligible project, but then Everett turns around and actually spends the match funds on an ineligible project as per the regulations of the construction match program? Does Governor Inslee believe state match funds should be able to be banked away by districts and used on something they choose later that the voters never voted on? Does Randy Dorn think that the state should help fund administration buildings even if the district is rich like Everett or Mercer Island? It seems like Everett had the money all along to build the project originally listed in the 2006 bonds resolution... is the state taxpayer supposed to be helping districts that can clearly afford things on their own?
