All training horses have been worked. Going to be a fun and interesting group to play with. Peanut, the little Welsh, has an obvious case of little man syndrome and think hes all that and tries to get into your space. So I spent our first session teaching him to lead at a distance and then putting him in a certain spot in front of me and making him stand still. Halo, the little yearling, is super attached to her sister Sunni. I had to end up leading Sunni into the round pen and got Halo to follow. She threw a fit when Sunni left the round pen. So with her I kept driving her forward until she would turn and face me and started to link up. Once I got her caught we worked on leading a little bit. Sunni, the 3 year old, was a little stubborn about starting to work again. She was going through the motions but not really paying attention and just trying to avoid anything I asked. We worked on leading from a distance and I just kept placing her back behind me when she tried to veer off. She got going pretty nice in the end. Overall a great first day.
