All you MTFs and FTMs who self-inject hormones, these are THE syringes and needles to use. First, the BD Precisionglide needles - 27 gauge, 1.25 inch long. Unless you are very overweight, the 1.25 inch depth should be fine. This needle is so painless. You guys, you dont need to prove your manhood by using an 18 gauge needle. After all, youre going to be doing this the rest of your life! Why suffer? Second, the 1cc LuerLock syringe. When I last was doing self-injection, there was no 1cc Luerlock syringe. The Luerlock is a spiral mount that grips the needle and doesnt allow it to slip out. For injecting thick oils like estrogen, this is important, since often the needle on the slip-lock syringes just pops right off. That can make a mess, spraying injectable all over. So please take my advice - tell your pharmacy to order these. Order a box of BD#305136 27gx1.25in needles ($17) and BD#309628 1cc LuerLock syringes ($50). No more ouch, no more accidents.
