All you need for this exercise is a band and a weight. By combining the two, youre making your bicep curl 10x more effective. Weights are really effective at the bottom of the Curl but not at the top. On the other hand, bands are only effective at the top of the curl, not at the bottom. 1) Put the band around your feet and hold the weights and band in your hand. 2) Keep your elbows in at your side to isolate the bicep. 3) Make sure the weight travels in a full range of motion. Let the weight come to rest before engaging the muscle again. This insures youre not helping yourself by swinging the weight. Try and do 3 sets of 15. Not everyone will be able to do 10 pounds so play around with the amount of weight and band strength. Remember the goal of this exercise is to fatigue the muscle by the end.
