All you vehicle owners who are intending to take up the UOB One Card to save on petrol because countless articles say they give up to 21.54% in discount, Do take note of the fine prints as apparently, the agents were not honest with me. Its said that on top of the 16% initial discount on petrol, there is supposedly to be a further 3.33% rebate on petrol pumped at Caltex per quarter. But turns out... only if you spend $300/mth for 3 consecutive months den you get it (3.33% x [$300 x 3] = $30). The next promo is $800 per mth for 3 consecutive months (3.33% x [$800 x 3] = $80) But... what they did not tell you is that if you fall in between the category of $300 - $800, you will not get the 3.33%. You will only get the max rebate of $30 per quarter unless you hit the $800/mth tier. So these are some food for thoughts for all you ppl who are thinking of taking up UOB card (ps. the remaining 2.21% which i did not explain is given from your caltex card and another UOB smart rebate)
