Allow me to pls state my candid opinion because from all indications it appears that this man will indeed become the next political leader of our dearest Mama Liberia. This man;(Amb.)Mr.George Oppong Manneh Weah has demonstrated little readiness to barter the trust & confidence the Liberian ppl have placed upon him. With no doubts, he has a great soul with few useful leadership qualities/characteristics: charisma,humbleness/humility, munificent/altruistic, volunteering, certitude, nationalistic. I believe that he heavily rely on the people within his closest circle for guidance in decisions-making, which is indeed the game of politics- team work(No man is a political island). For his team to believe and share his vision will depend on his ability(s) to demonstrate sound, calculated, meaningful, trusted, reliable, unselfish and convincing leadership skills to keep his team and the general populace loyal and committed to his vision(s). Leader ought to lead, Mr. Weah .They have got to be on the same political page- championing the challenges together to get Liberia where we all envisaged to be and indeed deserved to be. At the core of the problems that past and the current leader(s) suffered during their tenure can be attributed to being surrounded by hypocritical and ill-fitted lieutenants. Watch, study and be mindful of the people you have in your closest political circle and choose wisely your political friends. Mr.Senator -elect, I hope you use your senatorial platform to learn/gain and build upon your political skills for the massive tasks ahead. It is unfair to predict his political failure based on his moderate intellectual outputs(intelligence quotient) because historically there are great minds and leaders/personalities that were poorly educated and/or not superbly intelligent, whose positive imprints are remarkably unmatchable, in the personalities of the followings: (1) Abraham Lincoln- Former USA president(ended slavery). Not well educated and had a reputation for being lazy. (2) Winston Churchill- one of the most towering political figures of the twentieth century. Found education difficult, perform poorly in school and military service. (3) Jacob Zuma- President of South Africa. One of the key liberators. No formal education. (4) The great physicist Albert Einstein- a high school dropout. (5) The great William Shakespeare- did not attend school past the age of thirteen. (6) Steve Job- Apple co-founder. Attended college for only six(6) months. (7) John Glen- historically one of the most famous astronauts. College dropout. (8) Henry Ford- American industrialist and entrepreneur. Almost single-handedly created the US automobile industry. Limited formal education. Please hear me out- sound, quality and higher education is a hallmark or assurance to yield desirable outcome but come to think of it, it is/was destined for these personalities mentioned above do what they have done. Destiny has its own pattern of shifting times. I still hold on to my doubt that Mr. George O. M. Weah will get us to exactly were we dream to be but if destiny favours him to be our next political leader then we must all board his vessel and support his vision because each of us have a responsibility and share in that common vision- MAMA LIBERIA CAN/SHOULD BE A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE. On that note, I have this advice for Mr. George O. M. Weah, that is, when destiny shall have favoured him, he should not take for granted the LOVE that Liberians have shown him. It has an expected burden- please remember Mr. George O. M. weah that there is a very thin line between LOVE & HATE. May God bless you on your new political endeavour. LIBERIA IS FOR ALL OF US.
