Almost all outbound highways in Chinese main cities see traffic peaks as the 7-day National Day national holiday, also known as the Golden Week arrives. According to netizens posts on Chinas Twitter-like Weibo, it takes more than 3 hours to leave the main urban area of the capital Beijing. In Liuhe District, Nanjing, east Chinas Jiangsu Province, some travelers even played badminton by the roadside as they got stuck on highway.
