Alright, Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance or Blade Dance of Elementalers is completed and if you like murder/mystery type story building then this is a catch. The plot, we focus on a world of Spirit tamers who are known as Elementalers and all Elementalers are female and often the more powerful wielders of spirits are super elite or royalty. We start by following Kamito Kazehaya, who is a teenaged male heading for an academy for these Elementalers and on the way, he runs into a young lady who just happens to be taking a dip in a nearby stream, named Claire Rouge. Claire is flustered that she was caught in the buff but quickly gets back to her goal of contracting a powerful sword spirit that is sealed nearby, Kazehaya, for his own curious reasons, follows her to the location. Claire attempts to make a contract with the spirit upon arrival but fails, however, Kazehaya is able to make the contract after a small tussle with the blade spirit. What could this mean? Did the rules of the world change? So enough plot, to point out my original line, this is not a murder/mystery and more of an action/romantic/comedy Anime. What I meant by that is the structure of this anime is odd, we are started at the end of the story and clues about the past were added in later to create the illusion of mystery. But, it is hard to say if that was the goal or if the backstory is even relevant to the current story. I wont say much but more questions that answers arose. As far as the plot is concerned, it is focused less on the actual ultimate goal and more on the frivolity of adolescence... I cant say I am surprised but I dont think it is interesting. Ex. Im mad because I cant be honest with myself and five minutes later, I should just be honest with myself... *Facepalm* It is a bad troupe and it is only there to stall for time, but this is excessive for this series. I cant say I liked it, I can say it is watchable but I have to wonder if that is just my curiosity getting the better of me. This is an anyone watch, it is only perverse, at times, in the minds of the already tainted and anyone else wont have any idea. I give this one a meh for now but maybe another season will change my mind, if it comes out. Until the next one.
