Alright everyone, lets work together on this one. On Tuesday, Keith Maddox of Piedmont, AL, posted his third video on Facebook about why he hates cyclists on his commute to work. Hopefully this gets shared by enough people that it makes it to Alabama where some of our cyclist friends can help figure out where these videos were taken. I reached out to the chief of police in Piedmont with links to the videos and reminders of the laws in Alabama regarding cyclists. Chief Tidwell quickly and kindly responded back that multiple people have contacted him regarding the situation. He is taking the issue seriously, and said others that contacted him believe the videos were taken closer to Maddoxs work at the Anniston Army Depot, which would be in Alabama State Police or Calhoun County Sheriff jurisdiction. Regardless of the cyclist intimidation, he can easily be sited for distracted driving, Im hoping they would take into consideration the threatening statements he made as well. -Scott Kingsley
