Alright guys. Good news and good news! I have already received 17 e-mails from people interested in attending Smash classes (which still needs a catchy name). I also know that not everybody interested in going has actually sent an e-mail yet so that means our interested parties probably number in the twenties! Maybe more! Thats pretty cool. I think we definitely have enough people so we will: 1) Have a good spread of character mains and experience levels 2) Have reasonably sized classes every week, even when people cant make it 3) Have lots of fun. Second piece of good news. I spoke with Trey over at the Game Exchange (Parker and Custer, the place where DIME happens, you guys know the deal) and he is pretty excited to let us host them there. I know that weve got some folks in Fort Worth who want classes who wouldnt be able to come to the Plano/Richardson area regularly, and were going to puzzle out a secondary location to help those fellows out. But for now, our test runs are going to be at the FX Game Exchange. Trey is happy to supply us with CRTs, the main catch being that we need to know how many people will be attending so we can have things set up beforehand. I dont own eighty Gamecubes or Wiis of my own (because I am a scrub) so we will need community help for those. Rule of thumb is if you can, bring one in your backpack or purse or storage space in your cheeks, and if we need it, well use it. Im gonna see if Trey is fine with us having our first test class next Tuesday some time around 6 PM. There will be NO fees for the test classes. When I *do* start charging, there will be discounts for people who bring setups. But in the meantime, well all be figuring out how things go. Hope to see you guys there :)
