Its not that uncommon. He wants to use logical explanations?, what is logical about creating a light source that give you cancer?, what is logical about less than 1% of all the water on the planet being drinkable? But of course the logical reason is some wizard man did it with some magic. Now to evolution, evolution has absolutely nothing to do with the beginning of life, but how life progresses, and speciates.
