Although GRAIN is doing a very good work in making the Land Grabbing phenomenum more transparent, the exploitation of lands in economically poor countries goes on; very often, as in the case of the big corporation Karatury in Kenya, while the plant is a useful instrument to increase the overall profit of the group, on the other hand workers and local farmers are left in desparate conditions... Foreign Direct Investments in these countries (widely supported) should be better controlled and strongly punished if they dont respect the ENVIRONMENT and LOCAL POPULATIONs rights.
