Although I appreciate and can sympathize with the students that are angry with the clothesline project outside of Worner, I really appreciate its effort. I think it accomplishes a logical feat of making such violence aware to students that dont have any tangible idea that it happens day in and day out, and that the physical and emotional side-effects may never subside. I appreciate that it puts these students in an uncomfortable situation, and hopefully makes them aware of the realities in the world around them. I wish there was a way for us to successfully accomplish the same thing without negatively affecting individuals that have gone through such trauma, but I feel that it does a good job of raising awareness for now.
