Although I never expected to spend the first 4 days of 2015 in the hospital battling the flu and being tested for many tropical diseases, Im extremely grateful for the wonderful care I received and the love and prayers of family and friends. Whenever they get the paperwork done, Im out of here. :). I have officially been cleared of Ebola, Malaria, Chikungunya, and others I havent learned the names of yet. In the end, it was a bad strain of the Midwestern flu that took me down, but Im on the mend and will be headed back to Africa as soon as I get clearance. I will get the flu shot in the future and hope you all will too! I know its not full-proof but if it could avoid all this, Ill take my best chance! May God watch over all of you on this beautiful Sunday and many more!
