=> Although many in the West are impatient for a big sudden change, the Chinese know that time is on their side. All they have to do is make sure nobody is fooled into starting a planet destroying war and wait for their strength to increase while that of the West withers away. Unless the West acts decisively on its own to reboot their economic and political systems, they will just continue to watch helplessly as the BRICS inexorably leave them behind. However, if the West reboots itself, it will benefit from an age of exponential progress that will make the agricultural and industrial revolutions seem like the first tentative steps taken by a toddler.
