Although my days of backing candidates in NUS elections are over, thank goodness someone is talking about the broken tuition fees pledge in the context of the next general election (and this is pretty funny). Unless students run an effective campaign to scalp MPs who broke the pledge (and wins some scalps) they may as well pack up and go home because students will just get walked over again and again and again. I should probably declare an interest in that my opponent is one of those MPs who broke the pledge, but I see the next 14 months as partly my own small contribution to following through on all the work we did in 2010.
