Although the Town of Hoosick has no servicemen buried in Alabama, - TopicsExpress

Although the Town of Hoosick has no servicemen buried in Alabama, we received a request from the Alabama Patriot Guard Rider Captain, Tommy Beeson, who was escorting her to Mississippi, asking if they could have Liberty flown over the Alabama National Cemetery in honor of all veterans. Of course, we agreed and on Saturday, September 28, that ceremony took place. Tommy reported. “The ceremony was all that you could hope for in terms of the respect and honor that was rendered, with Mr. Jim Quakenbush, a bugler with “Bugles Across America” rendering the proper bugle salutes for each phase of the ceremony.” Liberty continued her journey on to the Mobile, Alabama area on Saturday afternoon where she was handed off to the Mississippi PGR for their portion of this mission. It warms our hearts and amazes us to watch the Town of Hoosick American Flag Program unfold into something so much more than we never could have orchestrated ourselves. We hope you are as encouraged as we are to see the honor and respect that is being bestowed on our fallen soldiers as the Patriot Guard Riders help us fulfill our mission here in the United States to fly Liberty over every Civil War Cemetery where Town of Hoosick soldiers who were killed in action are buried.
