Although the ferry has appeared at Brodick, it has been moved from Ardrossan on safety grounds and not becasue it is taking passengers or vehicles. And it looks like it wont be sailing tomorrow either! This from CalMac today: Due to forecast westerly winds in excess of 60mph for today, ALL sailings on this service have been cancelled for the day. The MV Caledonian Isles has had to leave Ardrossan as it was unsafe to remain there and is now berthed in Brodick. As the adverse weather is forecast to continue into Thursday December 11, the 0700hrs, 0945hrs and 1230hrs sailings from Ardrossan and the 0820hrs and the 1105hrs sailings from Brodick have been cancelled. A review will be made at 1300hrs on Thursday December 11 in relation to sailings later in the day. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may be causing but thank our customers for their patience and understanding during this period of severe weather.
