Although traditions vary deeply from country to country, just like our Orthodox brothers will be celebrating Christmas tonight, Catholics (which make up the great majority of the population of Spanish-speaking countries) will be celebrating Epiphany or the revelation of God the son as a human through Jesus Christ recognized by the Three Wise Men. In many Latino countries children will go to sleep waiting for the Three Wise Men to take them presents in the morning (yes, just like Santa, we love to feed fantasy), of course, people will go to church and in some countries like Mexico and Spain people will eat a rosca or donate-shaped cake with hidden plastic children inside that compels people to organize a party in a later feast in February.
