Although we will never know what another goes through in a day, week, month, let alone their life......a story that has come to my heart this morning, is this one. I pray it will minister to someone, somewhere. Years ago, there was an evangelist that came to the Methodist Church in Lovington. He had a visual for us all and I will never forget it. He gave each one of us a small piece of sisal rope that had been tied in the middle, a fairly large knot was there. He talked of what a person might go though in their life...of trials and heartaches and pain and grief...just having the feeling of being forgotten. His main point was this.....when you think that you are at the end of your rope......HANG ON.......Gods is up to something good! He will get you through your period. Lets always remember that Gods people in the Bible went though so much....yet, they endured. May your pain be lessened and your joys be more....but until that time......HANG ON! Romans 8:26-28 is the best....From the Message version.....Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, Gods Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we dont know how or what to pray, it doesnt matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. Thats why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good. Hang On! God is working for us.
