The popular Indian activist Rajev Dixit went so far that he considered the introduction of aluminum utensils in the Indian (now Pakistani as well) jails by the British as a part of a conspiracy to make them mentally numb and finally leading to their pathetic death. The neuro-toxicity of aluminum is under study. Although significant statistical correleations do exist, the reaction pathways suggested by the scientists are not yet finalized and more work needs to be done. What we do know is that there is a strong correleation between neuro disorders (Alzheimer, Parkinson...) and sustained aluminum intake.
